It’s no secret that Miss Marli is into all things with tutus so when I saw this tulle jumper dress from OshKosh B’gosh, I had to get it for her. It’s so easy to put on and gives her plenty of room to run, jump, and play which helps when you have a little one who can’t sit still for more than 2 seconds.
For Matea, I found this darling butterfly print dress also from OshKosh to match the Springy pastel color scheme.
Besides those cute outfits, I’ve already started packing their bags and wanted to share my 5 packing tips with you. Traveling with a toddler takes a lot of planning as far as packing goes, but now with two babies to think of, I’ve become way more organized and deliberate with what I bring for them.
(1) Pack on the Layers – The weather can be unpredictable so it’s a smart idea to pack a few light sweaters/cardigans for those cooler mornings/evenings. As the day warms up, you can easily peel them off your little one.(2) Comfort is Key – Pick outfits that are easy to get into and take off. There’s nothing worse than difficult pieces that take too much time and effort. (i.e. I would never put Marli in a romper because going to the restroom would be a nightmare! Matea, however, I could do because she’s still wearing a diaper.) Pick items that are easy for your kiddos to move around in and breathable cottons are always a good idea because you know those munchkins sweat when they play.
(3) Comfortable Shoes – For this occasion, since it’s only a weekend trip to the beach, I would pack Marli 1 pair of sandals and 1 pair of sneakers. Pick pieces that can go with several outfits to help cut down on packing too many things.
(4) Mix & Match – I try to stick with a color scheme so I can mix and match their outfits in case there’s an accident and I have to pull a shirt from another outfit. See what I did below? Both shirts go well with the OshKosh skirt I picked out for Marli.
(5) A Change of Clothes – Accidents happen and that’s why I always have 1 set of clothes in my diaper bag/purse for those reasons. Whether you’re traveling by car or airplane, it’s WAY easier to grab a set of clothes in your bag rather than dig through your entire suitcase. And always have a plastic bag handy to throw their dirty clothes in!
Besides these great pieces I got for the girls, I’m especially loving all of the chambray pieces this time of year and they carry SO many adorable pieces to stay on trend with kid’s fashion.
