From exciting superhero adventures at Little Gym to learning time at the bookstore, we’ve been busy making memories with Snapfish all summer long. The past few months has been full of exploration and “firsts” and I’ve got the photos to prove it.
Just to name a few, Marli saw Incredibles 2 at the movie theatre and absolutely loved it!
She also started piano lessons at Vivaldi Music Academy and played her very first song earlier this week.
She went swimming for the first time this summer and I practically had to drag her out when it was time to go.
We discovered 4 new indoor playgrounds around town all of which definitely wear her out after a couple hours.
She started gymnastics (again), but this time with her little sister! It’s amazing to see how far she’s come and I can tell she’s definitely proud of herself.
It’s no wonder she has been so happy! Talk about feeling grown up too!
With summer wrapping up and school starting soon, I wanted to make Marli something special to remember this summer forever. Plus, I knew this would be a perfect time to create her a special personalized back-to-school gift as she enters Kindergarten. I still can’t believe how fast time has flown. It feels like just yesterday when she was starting PK3 and now she’s all grown up!
If you know anything about Marli, it’s that she loves bags. In fact, I call her the bag lady because she is always carrying something around. Even if it’s a ziploc bag, she will find a way to fill it up. So, naturally, I knew customizing this everyday canvas tote with all her favorite summer memories would be the perfect gift for her. Designing the tote bag was so easy. I simply uploaded my photos, picked the layout (I chose the Instagram collage option), added a couple embellishments (flowers and mermaid), and added her name with the text option. It was that simple.
I filled her tote bag with some school supplies along with a couple workbooks, a chore chart, painting book, pencils, cute bracelets, treats, and her favorite keepsake gift of all – her very own personalized notebook. She squealed in delight when she saw her face on it! I can’t wait for her to find the little notes + hand drawn photos I left throughout the notebook. It’ll be a sweet surprise with each discovery!
Do you guys customize any of your kids’ school items or get their teachers anything at the start of the school year? I think it’s a fun and thoughtful way to get them excited for the upcoming year. Plus, this notebook is a great way to track their writing + drawing progress throughout the year.

This is an awesome idea! I especially love the photo you used for her notebook. She looks so excited for kindergarten! 😁😀 I got a photo mug of my class at the end of teaching Kindergarten one year, and it’s one of my faves!
