Back-To-School Essentials with Babbleboxx

Happy Wednesday, guys! So, it finally happened. Marli started Kindergarten today and I was a complete mess. I didn’t think it would affect me that much, but seeing her this morning in her big girl uniform made me realize those baby stages are over. Oh man, does it ever get easier?  Well, at least I can say she has all her back-to-school essentials in place for a great year. EYECARE

First up are these adorable kids glasses from Zenni Optical. Whether your child needs prescription glasses or not, he/she can definitely benefit from wearing these. Equipped with UV+ blue blockers, these glasses help protect against harmful lights outside as well as in your own home. Chances are if they’re using any type of digital device, they’re being exposed to UV and HEV blue lights.  This summer, Marli used a lot of screen time with her tablet, but because she wore her glasses, I had peace of mind knowing those pretty brown eyes were protected.

SCHOOL SUPPLIES

I don’t know about you, but we love to craft! Even if it’s cutting and gluing scraps together, the girls have the best time bringing their art to life.  With that being said, having a great pair of scissors is a must.  We put these Westcott scissors (aka world’s favorite scissors) to the test and my verdict?  They live up to the hype!  These suckers have cut through almost everything and are still as sharp as ever.  I use the Titanium Bonded Non-Stick 8 inch straight scissors and let Marli use the kids version because they’re smaller, more lightweight, and easy to grip.

Babbleboxx really spoiled us with these beautiful BLOT gel coloring pens, mini highlighters, ombre pastel gel pens, ballpoint pens, and mechanical pencils. Besides, no back-to-school is ever complete without stocking up on the coolest writing essentials for class, right?  I wanted so badly to stash these away for myself, but there was no hiding them from the girls.  Marli took the mini gel pens to school with her this morning while the mini highlighters have been claimed by her sister Matea.

GROOMING

Another goodie we received in our package was the Morning Miracle Mousse Styling Spray and Wacky Wax Medium Hold Pomade from Snipits. Since both girls have naturally curly hair, I’m always on the hunt for good kids hair care products to tame their locks.  The mousse is great for creating soft bouncy curls without weighing their hair down.  It also provides heat protection from the sun, an added bonus for us. We’ve only used the pomade once, but a little goes a long way! It styles the hair well without making it rigid and hard and smells amazing.

SNACKS

Whenever possible, I try to find healthy organic kids snacks and love that Babbleboxx included these yummies in our package.  The Curlz Cheddar Cheese has been a hit with Matea and Marli loves the Crispy Chews.
