Fun fact: The average American will consume 2000 calories during the Super Bowl. That’s 2000 calories in 3 hours! Yikes. I believe in indulging in moderation, but I don’t think I could justify this calorie count. These awesome recipes won’t leave you feeling guilty since they’re only a fraction of the calories and oh so yummy. Besides, I’d rather leave some wiggle room for my alcohol consumption. ๐
Are you guys planning on hosting a party or attending one? And, are you a big football fan or a fan of the food? We’re still undecided if we are having people over or going to my parent’s house, but I can’t wait to cook up some of these great snacking options. Do you have a signature dish you make for the big game?
Avocado & Feta Dip by Katie’s Cucina
This is a super easy drip to whip up in 10 minutes. Only a few ingredients and a bit of a twist to the traditional guacamole dip. Love it!
Sriracha Shrimp Cheese Dip by Cooking with Books
I love Sriracha (aka the rooster sauce), I love shrimp, and I love cheese so naturally, this is a winner for me. I would eat this with veggies or chips.
Asian Turkey Meatballs w/ Chili Garlic Glaze
by Aggie’s Kitchen
This looks devine! Substituting beef for lean turkey is a great healthier option and I bet the glaze will have a subtle sweetness to it.
Cauliflower Poppers by Whole Lifestyle Nutrition
Yum oh yum! I have been on a cauliflower kick lately. It tricks my mind into thinking I’m eating potatoes and I love it. Roasted cauliflower is the best, especially when you pair it with lemon garlic sauce. But for the game, we’ll go with ketchup. Can’t wait to dig into these!
Roasted Garlic, Chicken, and White Herb Pizza
by Dinner, Dishes, & Desserts
Using less cheese and lean chicken breast, this pizza packs a punch with a whole lotta flavor the family will love.
Slow-Cooker Spicy Buffalo Chicken Sandwiches
by Martha Stewart
You can’t go wrong with Martha. This is a good medium between having buffalo wings and burgers…it’s a little bit of both worlds!
Garlic Shrimp

I know how much my parents love seafood so I think they’ll enjoy this. Super tasty and so easy to make.
