I am SO excited about today’s post ๐ This will officially be my very FIRST DIY project in a very long time…probably since planning my wedding 3 year ago! We had originally planned to take photos for our mother/daughter photo shoot last Saturday, but with the gloomy weather, things didn’t pan out the way we expected. It was actually a blessing in disguise because it gave me some time to work on this beautiful DIY project. Hobby Lobby was having 50% off all floral arrangements so it was my lucky day! So glad I didn’t order one from online because this project only took me about 30 minutes to complete and I only spent about $17 for my flower crown AND Marli’s. What a deal!
We are trying to capture a very sweet, bohemian feel look for the shoot so this is going to be a perfect pop of color and rustic addition to the photos. I’ve also included some beautiful inspiration above from my Pinterest Board if you’re considering making one. There are SO many styles/looks you can achieve – from the subtle hints of greenery to the eye popping extravagant ones, they are all so beautiful!
Here’s my DIY Flower Crown Tutorial Lovelies!
Viola! Adding the bow is completely optional, but if you opt against it, simply overlap the two ends and secure with the floral wire. That’s it! I can’t wait to wear this for the shoot this week. Hoping the weather cooperates ๐

Your floral crown turned out amazing! You definitely should do some more DIYs! This is gorgeous and I could also see it as a headband worn very often. Sorry about the mom/ daughter shoot, but it sure looks like you had fun despite the weather!

Thanks ladies! Yes, I kept it pretty simple but I was in love with the red tones when I saw that flower. I think it will be perfect for the shoot tomorrow!
