Darlings, what exciting things did you do last weekend? I spent a good part of my weekend with the ladies in our family. We played it low key on Friday night and Redboxed Delivery Man, which was surprisingly pleasant and touching.
On Saturday, my gf and I woke up early to chase the sun and get in a good workout at Memorial Park. We hadn’t met up since the 10K run (which was over a month ago) so it was nice to get back on track with that. It was a PERFECT way to start the day. Lunch with the ladies in our family was a success! It was nice to see everyone and catch up.
That evening, I saw my cousins (again) for GNO! Much needed for us mamas and we had so much fun! When I asked if it was going to be a Whataburger kinda night, everyone said NO! But, at around 1:30am, guess where we ended up…at the driveway at Whataburger. Haha I can’t even remember the last time I did an outfit post so this will have to suffice. Forgot I had this cute little top in my closet. Paired it with my favorite BCBG skinny pants, a necklace I bought at Charming Charlies, and my oh-so-favorite tan heels from Nine West.
We started at The Fish & The Knife since they have a bar/lounge area. Drinks were good but the service was ehh. The cocktail waitress didn’t seem very professional or knowledgeable at all. Such a shame since the restaurant itself is very swanky.
Then, it was off for some dancing at Hughes Hanger. Needless to say, my feet and back were KILLING me the next day and I didn’t fully recover until 3pm. It wasn’t from the drinking since I only had about 3 cocktails, but it was from the fatigue. Mama can’t hang like she used it. 🙂 Still, such a wonderful night and definitely looking forward to meeting up with them again soon.
Sunday was, of course, CHURCH and CHORES! Toko went grocery shopping and cleaned the house. I was in charge of some laundry and the cooking. But first, I headed to mom’s to visit her and we went on an impromptu lunch for some dim sum. YUM! Then, I prepped some meals for Miss Marli and myself for the week, made my boo dinner, and called it a day! Below are a few things I made 🙂
Haha I can relate to the fatigue and the hang over, said state of affairs three drinks will give me a hang over now.

aww! You look great! Sounds like a fun, but yes, exhausting GNO! This mama can’t hang anymore either and scared of paying it back the next day! GNO should come with a “Mommy Sleeps In” morning the next day! 😉

Yup, the drinks weren’t the problem. I was just exhausted from the entire day. My hubby knew I would be out of commission the next day. Haha
You looked fabulous for your GNO. I had a GNO last weekend too for a friend who is getting married. Kind of like her bachelorette night. My feet just stopped hurting and I felt sore all over. So when you said that Mama just can’t hang like she used to, I cracked up! It’s so true!! It was fun but I’d hate to have to do that every weekend. 🙂
