Lovelies, what do you guys have planned for this weekend? I didn’t even realize that Mother’s Day is on Sunday :/ With so much going on lately, it completely slipped my mind, but you better believe I will be spending it with my favorite ladies…right after church of course. I have so much to be thankful for and I also have to much to pray about. Thanks to all the wonderful mamas out there and I REALLY hope this weekend is EXTRA special for you 🙂
I have to be honest – I’ve been in a bit of a funk lately and my outfits have consisted of sweatshirts and yoga pants so I knew it was time to dress things up a bit. I was rummaging through my closet yesterday morning trying to figure out what the heck I was going to wear and came across my favorite jumpsuit! How did I forget this little number was in my closet? Probably because I haven’t worn this thing since I was 3 months pregnant with Marli so you can imagine my excitement when I put it on. I think this was probably the best $20 I have ever spent at Forever21. 🙂 I paired it with a cute necklace and tailored blazer to be more “work appropriate” and immediately felt awesome.
This is a perfect jumpsuit for the summer. I love the ruffles on the front (since it gives me the illusion of being bustier than I really am..haha!), the high-waisted elastic band, the dipped low back hem, and the best part of all….it has pockets! 🙂 Since I purchased this one a while back, I tried to find a comparable one online but didn’t have much luck. HOWEVER, I did come across a really cute short jumpsuit from Zara AND the perfect blazer for it! (At first glance, I thought it was black and white, but it is actually navy and white just like mine.)

I’m a big fan of rompers and playsuits and recently picked up a couple colourful short ones. Waiting for some heat to rock ’em!
Hmmm trying to think of things I can’t get enough of in my own closet right now… well, I’m loving that the weather is getting warmer so I’m finally breaking out skirts and I have a pair of yellow wedges w an ankle strap that are killing it for me.

I love how putting a little extra energy in my look can change my attitude about an entire day! I actually haven’t jumped on the jumpsuit bandwagon– but not for lack of interest! I just haven’t found one that works for me…. I will definitely check out this Zara option next time I am out!
