Lovelies, how was your weekend? All I did was EAT, EAT, EAT. So delicious 🙂 On Friday, my mom and I ran some errands so we picked up some to-go Vietnamese food and visited one of my favorite new spots in town – Common Bond. OMG…I’ve only had a couple things from there, but I swear these chocolate chip cookies alone keep me coming back again and again so I can only imagine what the other dishes and pastries are like.
On Saturday, I took Marli grocery shopping with me and then we headed to the park so she could play. Sadly, we couldn’t stay long because it was so dang hot, but I set up a little “drum set” for her when we got home and she went to town on it. Haha Afterwards, we watched Aladdin and then I remembered Robin Williams was the Genie! Gosh he’s awesome.
That night, My hubby and I had an impromptu date night without the baby and we had a great time catching up and reconnecting as a couple 🙂 Don’t get me wrong, we talk every day, but finding time to really talk (meaning paying 100% attention to the other person) and catching up are far and few when little Miss Marli is around…and after she’s gone to bed, we are all pooped and tired. Haha I mean the energy of a 17th month old baby is mind blowing to me…they just keep going and going and going. But that’s for another post….After dinner, we went to see Planet of the Apes and it was pretty good.
Sunday was church and then to my parents for a family bbq. We made fajitas and grilled some shrimp and crab to eat. The shrimp were my favorite! I feel like I gained 5 lbs over the weekend. Sadly, I only worked out twice last week so it’s time to get back on track. Have a lovely day!

Funny it was my friends daughters Birthday this weekend and had a party. And oh yes I ate lots too! Yep I hear it is hot there, not here we had a really nice summer.
