Hobby Lobby Black & Gold Decor

Ladies, I have such a treat for you today.  This past weekend, I visited Hobby Lobby to pick up a few items and one particular section stopped me dead in my tracks.  Beautifully laid out on their shelves was an entire section of jaw dropping black and gold decor items!  This isn’t typical of Hobby Lobby since most of their items are more artsy crafty items that are really “homey” looking, ya know?  So, it was such a pleasant surprise to see this super chic section pop up.

I have been DYING to redo my office space so I think this was my calling when I saw some of their beautiful pieces.  I started decorating my office nook some time ago, but it never quite looked “put together” and now it just looks like a hot mess. Stacks of books/papers and stamps EVERYWHERE!  With starting my business in just a few weeks (YUP, you read that right! More details to follow…), I really need to get my office space in tip top shape so I can be organized and feel inspired in a pretty space 🙂  

I would LOVE to paint at least one of my walls blacks because everything seems to POP so much more and the amount of richness it would add to the room would be uh-mazing!  (But, I will have to convince the hubs that it’s a good idea). 🙂  I’ve been hunting for some inspiration and here are some of my favorite rooms so far:  

I still want to keep the cozy feeling of my office for that shabby chic look so I plan on adding some elements of rustic/restored wood and small hints of blush throughout the room to soften up my space.  This color scheme is perfect for me – bold, strong, and classic with a touch of girlie flare :) Can’t wait to share my new space with you!
