Stylish Mommy Uniform – Beanie + Boots

Before I jump into today’s mom uniform post, I wanted to say THANK YOU for all the comments, emails, messages, and prayers with our baby’s recent update on my last post.  I was completely unprepared for the support, advice, and tips offered from everyone – some ladies whom I have never even met before!  I absolutely LOVE this blogging community for that reason so thank you so much for reaching out to me!  We are visiting with our doctor again later today so we’ll see what happens. Either way, I know we are in great hands and the Lord will take care of us 🙂
A few weeks ago, I started a new series on my blog called The Stylish Mommy Uniform where I post 1-2 mommy uniform outfit ideas a month for my fellow mommies and guess what – no yoga pants are allowed!

​All the looks will be stylish, trendy, comfortable, and most importantly,  take almost no time to put together since I’m throwing my outfits together in 10 minutes or less most of the time.

Today’s The Stylish Mommy Uniform post is dedicated to the beanie + boots for our chilly weather in Houston.  At almost 37 weeks pregnant, I’m finding it so much harder to piece together my maternity outfits with this growing belly for that mom chic look. So, I’ve gone back to the basics of keeping things simple and today’s look does just that.
I opted for an all-black look and added some muted colors with my jacket and accessories only.  I have been living in these BeMaternity leggings I purchased from Target.  I love that I can wear it over my belly or roll it down.

​The black top is actually a swing dress from Forever21 BUT I’m wearing it as a tunic and purchased it exclusively because of how flowy it was. HERE is a similar style and I LOVE THIS one because of the lace sleeves. So pretty!

I love that I can throw on a hat when I’m having a bad hair day (and in this case, when my roots are growing in big time!) so I took full advantage of my beanie stash for the cool weather. I opted for a creamy colored one (instead of black) to add a little bit of color to my outfit.

My BCBG jacket is old, but HERE is a similar one.
The knee high boots are also old, but I LOVE THIS pair from Nordstrom. I actually might need to get this pair because I love the low heel, color, and did I mention that it’s almost half off?!?

This mommy uniform has been on repeat for the past few weeks because I can easily swap out the jacket and beanie for a completely different look.  Plus, I have even belted the top to add some structure to my look as well.

I love how comfortable and cozy it is, but allows me to look put together as well while running errands with my little one.
