Happy Tuesday guys! Hope you had a great weekend. I legit could not adult yesterday and amidst my best efforts to blog, I basically vegged out with Matea all day until it was time to pick Marli up from school. We spent Saturday celebrating my hubby’s birthday! He requested dinner and a movie so we saw Deepwater Horizon and dined at one of our fav sushi spots, Ginza. You can never go wrong with sushi, right? On Sunday, the girls and I treated him to Adair Kitchen after church and he loved it. I highly recommend the chicken and waffles or the blueberry wheat pancakes – so yummy!
I’m gearing up for the rest of the week so I’ll keep today’s post short and sweet. Sometimes you just need a good staple outfit that screams comfort and confidence. And the best part is you don’t need to have flashy pieces to make it look good. To be honest – I naturally gravitate towards my whites, grey, black, and navy pieces the most when I’m going for the usual comfy street style look. That’s why I really like this edgy chic fall outfit. It’s almost a minimalistic look but is anything but boring. Give me all the cardigans, over the knee boots, and chokers for Fall please! My latest obsessions for this season are chokers and zipper details on sweaters and cardigans! Like I said before, I love adding a little bit of edge to my looks and these two details definitely do it for me.
I purchased this zipper cardigan from Marshall’s but found an almost identical one (linked below). The cut and length are perfect for layering! My lace choker just sold out, but I am in love with the lace one I found from Baublebar. Plus, I love the little tie in the front. This crossbody bag is old (from Forever21) so I linked a few other similar styles at some really affordable prices. My jeans are from Banana Republic and I’m almost ashamed at how often I’ve been wearing them, but I LOVE THEM so much! My OTK boots are old, but I linked two great pairs below.
Really though, it’s amazing what a good outfit can do for my confidence. Sometimes it’s not about the glam life, but those comfy outfits that make you feel your best. Whether you’re rocking stilettos or sneakers, skinny jeans or sweatpants, just remember that confidence is the best accessory a girl can have so own it and rock it out. Thanks for reading, lovelies!
