Happy Friday, loves! What do you guys have planned for this weekend? We’ve got a birthday party to attend tomorrow and I’m excited Matea will be tagging along. My poor babe is finally on the mends after being sick for several weeks! I swear it’s the worst when she’s not feeling well. She caught a really bad cold from her sister weeks ago and this stubborn thing has been lingering ever since. Let’s just hope I didn’t jinx myself by saying that, but I really hope she only gets better from here on out. I bet you would have never guessed it though by the videos of her on my Instastory, right?
We recently partnered up with Boon for a product review on Boon CARE, their latest and greatest baby health and grooming kit to hit the shelves at Target and it couldn’t have come at a better time. If you think all grooming kits are made the same, think again. The concept may be similar, but the quality of our kit compared to the Boon CARE was like night and day. Needless to say, I tossed our old kit as soon as I got my hands on this one and haven’t looked back ever since. So here’s what impressed me about their kit:
The Boon CARE comes with 6 pieces – a quick read thermometer, silicone toothbrush, nail clippers, nasal aspirator, medicine spoon and cradle cap brush – all conveniently stored in a zipper bag. As you can see, Matea is particularly fond of the thermometer and toothbrush. The thermometer has a flexible tip and bends making it easier to take her temp. It comes with an extra battery and its own case to store. It also only takes 8 seconds for a reading and guess what – it even displays the last temperature taken. So neat! The silicone toothbrush is so soft and gentle on Matea’s gums. The tube detaches so I can place my finger in it, but she insisted on brushing her own teeth. It’s also dishwasher safe for easy cleaning.
The health and grooming kit also comes with a cradle cap brush which is great for newborns! Matea had terrible cradle cap so I wish this was around a year ago. It’s specifically made with a center opening to allow for visibility of the scalp, but I also love it because it’s easy for Matea to hold. It’s the cutest thing watching her learn to brush her own hair after bathtime. I cannot rave enough about the nail clippers included in the kit! I hate cutting baby nails because they’re so tiny and fidgety and I’m always afraid of snipping their skin, but these clippers are the best! They have a large soft handle for an easier and more flexible grip as well as a depth bumper to prevent cutting too deep.
The nasal aspirator is by far the product I’ve used the most so far and it is fantastic! With any cold comes stuffy and runny noses so this aspirator has been amazing in clearing her nasal passages. It’s soft tip is easy on her nose and this piece is so easy to clean. It’s been a lifesaver for us! And last, but not least, this medicine spoon is just the coolest thing ever. You can actually dispense medicine while feeding your baby which makes it soooo much easier if they aren’t fans of taking medicine. Luckily, my girls don’t have that issue, but isn’t this gadget neat?
Clearly, the Boon CARE healthy and grooming kit is not your typical kit. It’s exceptionally well made clearly winning me over. This affordable kit would make a wonderful gift for an expecting mom because it’s practical, yet innovative. Shop for one at your local Target in the baby section or visit their website!
