Things have been warming up around here and I couldn’t be happier! The flowers (and weeds) are starting to peek through which means Spring is just around the corner. I feel like we’ve been cooped up all winter so we’re excited to enjoy some outdoor activities. We’re taking the girls on a surprise vacation to California in a few weeks and excited doesn’t even begin to describe how I feel.
This will actually be our very first “real” trip as a family of 4 – as in flying on a plane. Marli is a pro on plane rides, but it will be Matea’s first time. Lord help me. I will probably be that mom boozing it up. Aside from our Cali trip, I’m really looking forward to more weekend getaways with the girls this Spring and Summer. We have family in Dallas and T is always going to San Antonio for business so hopefully we can visit there soon as well.
Another thing I’m looking forward to for Spring – some major cleaning! Not that we have a ton of clutter in our house, but some of this stuff needs to go. ASAP. I read this article from Scary Mommy that clutter actually makes your brain feel like you’re working in overdrive all the time. And it’s so true! I can’t wait to toss out all the baby toys I no longer need, clothes I don’t wear, and furniture collecting dust in the corner. Do you guys do a yearly house cleaning to declutter?
I don’t know why I’d be excited about this, but I’m actually looking forward to getting drenched during my workouts again. It’s hard to really sweat during my winter workouts – probably because my garage is 40 degrees and I can’t feel my fingers. Haha! I could do without the Houston humidity, but I somehow feel like I’ve worked way harder when I’m super sweaty and out of breathe. So bring it on Spring! (Side note – Thank you so much for the overwhelming response on my recent fitness transformation blog post. I know a lot of you guys wanted to see more workout videos so I will be posting them on Instagram for now so be sure to follow along. I plan on posting 1 workout video per week.)
And lastly, I’m looking forward to linking up with my gfs again without the kiddos. Notice I said ‘without the kiddos.’ While I love having play/lunch dates, there is a HUGE difference between hanging out with your gfs when little ones are involved. I mean, are we REALLY paying attention to each other when our kids are flinging their lunch across the room? Haha! #Truth
This Spring look is definitely something I’d wear for a GNO. I have a feeling I will be wearing white denim on repeat all Spring. If you haven’t hopped on these block heels yet, do yourself a favor and get them before they’re all gone. I’ve only posted about them 100 times because they’re so dang comfortable! They’re on clearance for $20 & come in several colors. I linked everything above. The clutch is sold out, but I rounded up my absolute FAVORITE Spring Handbags Under $100. Most of them are $50 or less, but I sprinkled in a few that are $50-100. I tried to limit it to 10 bags, but obviously found too many good steals not to share.
I can’t wait to share which ones I ordered. Which are your favorite picks? Is there anything you’re looking forward to for Spring? Let me know in the comments! Thanks so much for visiting, loves. Make it a great one!
