We are just 3 weeks shy of summer and I have 6 1/2 weeks left until my trip to Vegas! I have to admit that when I started my training 4 weeks ago, I QUICKLY fell off….like crashed and burned. My schedule was anything BUT normal and I really didn’t feel like myself with everything going on with my mom. On top of that, we were crazy busy with luncheons for an entire week and then throw in a crawfish boil, birthday party, and graduation and you can only imagine what I was eating on those days….yuck.
After taking a minute to sulk in self-pity, I decided it was time for a change 🙂 Best decision ever and I already feel better with healthier food choices and making sure to get in (at least) a 20 minute sweat session each day. If you’ve been following me for a while, then you know that I love tabata. It’s quick and hard and it yields results….so if you missed it, here is my go-to 20 minute tabata workout. It hits all of your muscles and is a great workout if you’re short on time – it incorporates strength training AND cardio as well. 🙂
It’s usually 4-6oz of protein, 1-1.5 cups of veggies,and .5 cup of starches.
Back Squat Lunges (20 reps)
High Plank with a row (20 reps)
Figure 8 High Five with a twist (20 reps)
Modified Turkish Getup (20 reps)
Quick Feet (20-30 seconds)
