Good day RAWRs! It’s been such a busy and crazy month – with work projects, side projects, and home projects, I feel like my plate is SUPER full right now. Are you feeling the same way? Staying busy is definitely a plus for me, but sometimes I feel like I can’t enjoy living in the moment because my mind is always thinking of the next step, the next project, or the next item to check off on my to-do list. And I hate that feeling. So, as the month is quickly winding down, I wanted to take a moment to recollect, decompress, and regroup.
Looking back at this month, I am quickly reminded of things I am so grateful for. There are so many on my list, but these are my top 3…which all revolve around FAMILY.
(1) HAVING FAMILY CLOSE BY: I am beyond blessed to have such a great big family. There’s a lot of us (like 30+) that ALL live in Houston so family functions are always a full house packed with chaotic fun. My parents live 2 minutes away from us so you can imagine how often I visit them…like every day! And did I mention that my cousins live 3 doors down from us?!?! We don’t see them as often as I’d like, but hopefully we can plan more play dates now that the girls are getting more mobile ๐
(2) THIS CHILD OF MINE: Well, this is a no-brainer. I am so so so grateful for this spunky little girl God has blessed me with. We weren’t trying for a baby at the time, but welcomed the great news when we found out I was expecting. Just goes to show that although God gives us choices to choose, He is ultimately the one in control and we should never forget that.

(3) MY MOTHER’S DAUGHTER: This woman is my rock and she is pretty damn amazing. I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again, she is my hero. To this day, she still strives to set a good example for myself and my daughter, and I can confidently say I am who I am because of her. I am so lucky. So lucky.
What things have you been grateful for lately??

Oh I hear you, my plate is super full right now, I may be changing jobs the hours at my current job were cut in half, I am thinking of launching a start up, and I am dealing with complications with an improperly done root canal which lead to nerve damage. I need an MRI and may need surgery and may have to take medication for the rest of my life and will be meeting with a lawyer so yuppers my plate is full. Though family with the exception of my nephews can be a source of stress : O

Oh how I needed this post… and may just have to post a similar (with credit to you, of course!) Lately, I’ve been looking at the glass 1/2 empty! But I am definitely thankful for my family. No matter what comes along, they are the reason for my everything. I wish I had your #1. I’d give anything for that. You are blessed!

this is such a sweet post! my new years resolution this year was to remember to stop and be thankful for all the wonderful people and thing in my life. i am very thankful for my husband. he has been figuring out a lot of things in our condo association and we have been working together on small home improvement projects. I am also thankful that my office sent me to a marketing conference yesterday so i was able to learn things to help our firm social media projects (and i can apply things i learned to my blog!) xo jillian
