Raise your hand if you LOVE wearing your hubby/boyfriend’s clothing. Something about it screams comfort and coziness, right? I often times find myself rummaging through my husband’s t-shirts and sweatpants to see if there’s something I can fit. Well, whoever invented the boyfriend jean is a genius! I basically live in these now, but I wasn’t always a fan. I mean, let’s get real. Boyfriend jeans aren’t the most flattering because of the loose, relaxed fit, BUT if you know how to wear them, then you can definitely score some fashion brownie points. I learned through trial and error (and some very, very poor styling choices. Ha!) Boyfriend jeans are a modern, fun way to play up your tomboy style with feminine touches…definitely RAWR style. Here are a few tips I’ve learned along the way for a great street style look.
CUFF IT – As for the cuffs, feel free to roll them up/down as needed.
BELT IT – Because of the looseness, I usually wear mine with a belt. It also gives my body a nice line break since I have such a long torso.
TUCK IT – After some experimenting, I find that tucking a shirt/blouse in partially or all the way looks best. My tops (which vary from t-shirts to blouses and sweaters) are fairly loose and NEVER tight.
ACCESSORIZE IT – For an added feminine touch, I always make sure to add a few pieces of jewelry to the look. I love wearing my boyfriend jeans with heels, wedges, and booties, but you can definitely pull off the look with flat/sneakers too if you want a more casual look.
LAYER IT – I am a walking poster child for layers. Bring it on! If you are pairing it with a button down blouse, leave the buttons undone. Add a blazer. Anything goes.

Yup! I didn’t even notice until I got home and tried it on! So typical. Had the baby with me and couldn’t try anything on so I grabbed it and put it in my bag. It was a nice surprise ๐

This is a great look. I have a pair of ripped jeans that were sort of flared and I did not like this so I cut them so they are easy to crop and will be wearing them with some fun pumps too! Great job with this.
