Happy hump day, loves! I cannot believe today is June 1st and the year is half over already! Summer is in full force and that can only mean one thing – time to break out all the summer shorts, cute tanks, and favorite jumpsuits/rompers from your closet.
If you don’t currently own any jumpsuits or rompers, what are you waiting for??? Now is the perfect time to strut your stuff in one! If you’re a newbie to this trend and not sure how to wear it, I’ve got you covered. I’m sharing 5 styling tips on how to look fabulous in a jumpsuit.
1. DEFINE YOUR WAIST
Slouchy jumpsuits are great if you’re going for a super casual look, but cinching in the waistline is a great way to add curves, elongate your legs, and give you a polished look. Most jumpsuits already have some sort of band or belt built into the jumpsuit, but you can always add your own belt as well. Also, tying a light sweater. shirt, or jacket around the waist is a great option for some textural contrast.2. SOLID COLORS VS. BOLD PRINTS
Solid Colors – If you’re a newbie and trying to play it safe, opting for a solid color is a great start. Black is always a good choice because it’s ultra slimming and chic! Again, you can always add a little glam or pop with a great belt and accessories.
Bold Prints – Life is short so live it up with some fun prints! Spring and Summer are a great time for floral prints like the jumpsuit I’m wearing from Tobi.
3. ADD SOME LAYERS
Adding a jacket or blazer to your jumpsuit will take your outfit to the next level! Not only will it give your outfit some flare, but the color contrast will look amazing. This is especially true if you’re pairing this with a solid color jumpsuit. If you’re sporting a really bold print, wearing a solid color jacket can “tone and soften” the look a bit.
4. BARE A LITTLE SKIN
Plunging necklines, halter tops, strapless styles, and backless jumpsuits are all the rave for this season so don’t be afraid to bare a little skin. By revealing just a little, you can still get that feminine glam factor while keeping things classy.
5. HEELS, HEELS, HEELS
I can’t stress this enough. Adding a heel to your jumpsuit (especially if you’re sporting a wide-leg style like I am) is essential to obtaining that polished and elongated look. If you’re going for the casual look, choosing a low heel or opting for sandals is fine as long as your jumpsuit is grazing the floor or above. Otherwise, your outfit may look frumpy and sloppy.
Now that you have these styling tips, put them to use! Tobi has some amazing rompers and jumpsuits in their Spring/Summer collection like this Island Living Jumpsuit I’m wearing. And the best part is you receive 50% off your first order!

I am a HUGE fan of jumpsuits and own several vintage ones. I agree with all 5 tips, especially 3 and 4. I don’t usually like to show too much skin, but with this one jumpsuit I own, it’s a must.
